Blackburn Rovers co-owner Venkatesh Rao has assured Steve Kean that his job is safe at Ewood Park and that he will not be sacked. Kean who was originally the caretaker manager, was given the managerial role after Sam Allardyce was sacked by the new owners. Blackburn have struggled to get results under Steve Kean and sit just one point above the drop zone. Blackburn have only won one game under Kean and have suffered five defeats and four draws in their last nine games.
Venkatesh Rao: "Kean's job is definitely safe. I can say 100 per cent that, as far as I'm concerned, he will still be our manager next season. "We have confidence in him, and our players. We like him and we trust him. He will stay."
