Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to find a replacement for world class goalkeeper Edwin Van Der Sar

Edwin van der Sar has been exceptional in goal for The Red Devils this season and the 40 year looks set to retire at the end of the season. Ferguson will find it difficult to replace van der Sar as he has been the number one choice keeper for United ever since he joined United in 2005 from Fulham however the United boss is hopeful he can find a replacement for the Dutchman when he retires in the summer.

Sir Alex Ferguson on finding a replacement for van der Sar: "I hope it's not impossible because we had a similar situation with Peter Schmeichel when he left and I had the opportunity to sign Edwin then but the situation conspired against us. "Van der Sar is one of the best,to see hear him at half-time motivating the players was absolutely wonderful."
