Wolves reject West Ham's bid for midfielder Matt Jarvis


Wolves have turned down a bid from West Ham for winger Matt Jarvis. Jarvis' future is in doubt following Wolves relegation from the Barclays Premier League last season and they face a battle to keep hold of their star man, who has attraced intrest from many premier league clubs. Its beilieved that West Ham's rejected bid is in the region of  £6 million, rising up to £9 million with add ons. Jarvis' team mate Steven Fletcher has also been linked with a move away from Molineux. Fletcher handed in a transfer request followng interest from Sunderland, however, despite Wolves' relegation from the top flight at the end of last  season,  chief excutive Jez Moxey insists they are under no financial preasure to sell their best players. Moxey is determined to keep hold of  Wolves' best players.

Moxey: "As we have previously stated, no player will leave Wolves unless the club's valuation is met and it is in our best interests from a football perspective."We wish to retain our best players, we are not under any financial pressure to sell. Players will remain here unless we receive satisfactory offers. "These are challenging situations for all parties, but we will continue to conduct our business in a respectful manner and will honour all of our commitments "We hope, and expect, other parties to do likewise."
